Costing Clerk

Our well know automotive vehicle dealer client based in Kimberley is looking to employ an experienced Costing Clerk.

Effective processing of all workshop costing and invoicing documentation
• Job card creation
• Ensure all customer details are accurately captured on pre-orders and CRM system
• Accurately capture a vehicle repair record on the system
• Ensure accurate job card costing
• Provide customers with a printed quotation
• Obtain the correct parts, labour and sub-contractor prices
• Generate the subcontractor order from the system
• Ensure subcontractors have the required authority to proceed with vehicle repairs
• Ensure all printed quotations are attached to the job cards and filed accurately once invoiced
• When required to book vehicles for repairs, ensure appropriate allocation of work to technicians

Effective financial management of all workshop costing and invoicing

  • Ensure all work carried out is invoiced to an active account
    • Obtain account-based repair order numbers
    • Ensure all procedures are followed in capturing account details in the system
    • When required, obtain written order numbers from finance houses covering workshop costs
    • Ascertain whether insurance companies are liable for any workshop costs
    • Accurately determine the percentage split for maintenance contracts
    • Verify customer account details with the debtors department
    • Assist accounts department with queries
    • Check credit limits and obtain correct customer account number
    • Check cost splitting with the warranty department before generating invoices
    • Correctly locate and apply WIS/ASRA operation numbers & damage codes
    • Forward warranty and maintenance documentation to the warranty clerk and assist with claims capturing when required
    • Ensure all completed job cards are forwarded to the costing and invoicing clerks

Qualifications and Experience
EVA & XENTRY portal experience
Service costing skills, knowledge and experience.
Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Costing position
A minimum of Grade 12.
A great team player.
