Our well automotive dealer client currently holds a vacancy for an experienced General Manager: Finance for their Parts Distribution Centre in Johannesburg.

Job Description
Job Purpose

To formulate tactical financial strategy and associated delivery plans related to the area of business , ensuring integration and operational implementation through the achievement of financial objectives.
Review and consolidate relevant accounts.
Specific Role Responsibilities

GENERIC JOB OUTPUTS
PROCESS

•Develop, align and implement a departmental/tactical strategy and associated policies and guidelines.

•Implement corporate governance and compliance policies to identify and manage risk liability.

•Measure the delivery of operational plans, realign and improve where required.
•Monitor and evaluate financial processes for quality and effectiveness and notify stakeholders accordingly.

FINANCE

•Compile a budget which aligns to delivery plans, monitor and report on variances.
•Compile timeous and accurate management accounts, including budgets, networking capital, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.

•Develop, implement and monitor a cycle of medium term cost improvements.
•Ensure effective and efficient administration of operational costs within budget, identify areas of financial and operational risk and escalate appropriately.

•Ensure that month-end cut-offs are compliant in terms of company policies.

•Ensure that net working capital is monitored and optimised.
•Formulate incentive and commission schemes and present to senior line manager.
•Identify opportunities to minimise cost / increase revenue.
•Implement and monitor financial controls, governance and compliance protocols.

•Manage the effective timeous provision of financial reporting including profit and loss accounts , budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.

•Oversee accurate reconciliation of all financial records to enable verification of the validity of transactions and to take appropriate action where required.

•Review creditors and ensure that all creditors are in line with service level agreements and maximise payment opportunities.

•Review outstanding debtors, and where applicable, cash sales and work in progress to ensure collections are up to date, and that all risks are identified and actioned.

CLIENT
•Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships that enable achievement of operational objectives.

•Develop and manage sustainable relationships with customers that contribute to a culture of customer service excellence.

•Plan and deliver services and/or products that create a culture which aims to exceed customer’ expectations in the business.

•Prepare service delivery excellence plans for customers and ensure implementation.

PEOPLE

•Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition.
•Develop and implement change management initiatives.
•Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition and employee relations to ensure an optimal working environment.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualification

Bcom Accounting/ Relevant Finance tertiary qualification

Minimum Experience

5 – 8 years’ experience in a similar environment, of which at least 2 – 3 years’ managerial experience

OEM Parts Distribution Centre Experience would be preferred.

•Own and live up to company values.
•Prepare and implement people capacity plans in line with service delivery, performance objectives and budget.

Skills and Personal Attributes
Minimum Requirements•In Possession of a valid Drivers License in terms of relevant legislation requirements.•A broad understanding of the motor and/or the logistics and /or transport industry and legislation relating thereto.
•Analyse and recommend area’s for improvement

•Ability to present financial data

•Lead & Develop team

•Ability to work with cross-functional teams/department

•Ability to work in a high pressure environment
