Our well known Blue Chip client based in Johannesburg currently holds a vacancy for an experienced Engine Dyno-Room Operator.
No trade test required, only experience in assembling diesel engines, operating Dyno-Room testing equipment, and must have worked with MAN, Iveco, Mercedes or ADE diesel engines.
N.B. This position is at the manufacturing plant, which fall under MIBCO working conditions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal applicant will possess the following:-
- Minimum Grade 12 or an equivalent Technical Qualification.
- ± 4 Years’ experience in assembling Truck & Bus diesel engines.
- ± 2 Years’ working experience in operating Dyna-Room testing equipment will be an advantage.
- Computer literate.
- Strong technical problem solving skills.
- Experience working on MAN, Iveco, Mercedes, ADE and other diesel engines.
JOB OUTPUTS
- Prepare finished engines for dynamometer tests.
- Install and remove engines on Dyno.
- Perform engine dynamometer tests using dynamometer systems and equipment available.
- Perform tests according to OEM or Customer specifications.
- Maintain test result records for SABS ISO 9001 compliancy.
- Ensure proper Quality Standards are maintained.
- Use lifting equipment to move engines.
- Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations in a noisy working environment.
- Maintain a neat, clean and safe work environment.
